Expungement - Marijuana Offenses
New Jersey Assembly Bill No. 5981 was just signed into law by Governor Phil Murphy. Pursuant to this bill, offenses for distribution or possession with intent to distribute marijuana or hash are now considered disorderly persons offense and can be expunged five years after the conviction has ended or completion of probation if the person meets the requirements of the Expungement Statute.
